WE ARE

We Are Women Rising is a nonprofit organization that promotes an intersectional approach to enriching communities through art, education, and connection.

We are dedicated to community needs and marginalized groups including senior and youth projects, with a focus on girls and women.

Lisa Del Sesto brought her passion for justice and women’s equality to create We are Women Rising after building up a local feminist organization in Long Beach, CA, LB/OC Women Rising. That organization was a hub for local women to gather, rally, march and take action. After moving away from California, she set her focus to continue the work of gender equality by founding We are Women Rising with co-founder, Raine Palladino.

 

Raine Palladino is a Professor of Women's Psychology working at several Universities throughout New York including Hunter College and Pace University. She is a professional musician and women's empowerment advocate who connects with the community through education, workshops, and music.
